Lecturers: Committed teachers from practice

[Translate to English:] Dekanin Prof. Dr. Katharina Lugani mit Dr. Dirk Andres

Teaching at the Faculty of Law at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf thrives on its close links with practice. Numerous lawyers from law firms, companies, courts and authorities teach in their special fields. On April 27, 2022, the faculty expressed its gratitude for this commitment with the traditional honorary lecturers' dinner at the Industrie-Club Düsseldorf.

In addition to the honorary professors and lecturers, the judges who offer the so-called Judicial Colloquium for the second semesters in Düsseldorf were also present for the first time.

Dean Prof. Dr. Katharina Lugani acknowledged the commitment to teaching and informed about new developments at the faculty. Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Christian Kersting looked back on his deanship, which was overshadowed by Corona, and pointed out that the switch to online teaching had also worked exceptionally well for external lecturers. Prof. Dr. Helmut Frister bid farewell to the retired senior public prosecutor Hans-Reinhard Henke. Henke had taught criminal law at HHU for over 20 years. The guests dined and talked over a three-course meal - attorney Dr. Dirk Andres, who reads insolvency law at HHU, had invited the group to the Industrie-Club.
