German-Israeli exchange seminar

In the summer semester, a comparative law seminar held jointly with the Radzyner Law School (Reichman University in Herzliya (Israel)) takes place at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf Faculty of Law. The seminar, which is held annually, covers varying problems in the area of civil law. Real life situations are prepared by participants and used as input for developing an approach to finding a solution for a legal case based on the respective national law. The aim of this is for each situation to be worked on from a German as well as an Israeli perspective, so that the differences between the legal systems are highlighted as part of the presentation. Apart from the actual seminar, participants can enjoy joint leisure activities in Düsseldorf and its region, with a view to fostering subject-specific and intercultural exchange between the participants.

All participants have the opportunity to take part in a return visit in the following year to Herzliya, Israel. The programme was made possible thanks to the generous support of Dr. h.c. Harry Radzyner (†), Honorary senator of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and co-founder of the Reichman University in Herzliya.

You can find out in good time about the possibility of taking part under  "What’s happening at the Faculty".
