Law on Digitalisation

DMA Lunch Talk & Book Launch

Professor Podszun's Chair is organising a Lunch Talk on the Digital Markets Act (DMA) on 23 May 2023. The DMA is a European regulation aiming at contestable and fair markets in the digital sector. To this end, it sets up strict rules of conduct for gatekeepers such as Alphabet (Google), Amazon and Meta (Facebook).

The regulation is applicable since 2 May 2023. On this occasion, three experts will report on the current state of play: Dr. Thomas Kramler, from the DMA team of the European Commission, Dr. Andreas Schwab, rapporteur for the DMA in the European Parliament, and Dr. Sophie Gappa from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. Two of the speakers are also authors of the DMA commentary edited by Professor Podszun and published by Nomos in April 2023.

The Zoom event in English is open to everyone interested. It starts at 12:15 CEST and lasts approximately one hour. Access is via the following link
